Training, Group work and consultancy
I am an experienced trainer and group work facilitator. I have also provided consultancy on wellbeing and mental health issues for staff and students in higher education. I am currently undertaking doctoral research into the student experience of existential issues whilst at University.
Training & Workshops
I have designed and facilitated training on issues such as resilience, working with conflict, creative block, maximising and giving feedback, confidence and self-esteem, communication skills, managing anxiety, procrastination and perfectionism, working on the frontline of organisations, time-conscious therapeutic practices, loss and bereavement, self-care and burnout, stress management, presentation skills, culture-shock, and dealing with distress in the workplace.
I am currently undertaking research into absurdity (a desire for meaning in the face of meaninglessness) and can adapt sessions to build upon Keats' ideas of negative capability (tolerating uncertainty) in leadership and in team-working.
Please do get in touch for bespoke requests.
Working with Groups
I am an experienced therapeutic group work facilitator and can facilitate groups for a number of purposes, including:
workplace dynamics / team issues
a training encounter group
personal development group
therapeutic groups on issues of self-worth, social anxiety, bereavement and loss
therapeutic and reflective writing
process group for leadership training and team building (one-off or series)
creativity and meaning
It is an ironic habit of human beings to run faster when we have lost our way.
In uncertain times and shifting cultures it is important to take the space to reflect and consider your options - what are the assumptions that underlie the next move? Action and reflection are best together and inform each other. What is the context? Who is involved? Do you understand the purpose and its inevitable conflicts?
